Dear Shadow Day Participants,

Well ladies, it wasn't easy but we managed to deliver a fantastic Shadow Day experience to our eager Esperanza students once again. They prayed together the day before that the snow would hold off a little longer, so they could come to school for the 4th annual Shadow Day. Can you believe that a child would ever wish not to have a snow day? That says it all to me.....

Many of the women who had planned to host girls for the afternoon and full day expressed a desire to make plans for a "Snow Date" since we had to cancel our afternoon program all together. They were as disappointed as the girls were that we couldn't carry out the tradition as planned.

On Wednesday, April 20th, we will be offering a "Snow Date" opportunity for those of you who would like to host an 8th grader for a full day at your place of work. We have 14 students in the 8th grade and you are welcome to take either 1 or 2 girls for the day, which would run from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Please contact me if you are interested and for those of you who have trouble with transportation, we will try to offer assistance with that.

Once again, I would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation for the 42 women who helped us make our 4th Annual Shadow Day a huge success even during a blizzard. You truly are great women to know and together we are helping these young ladies at Esperanza find hope that they can break the cycle of poverty in their community and have the bright future that they deserve.

I have so much respect and admiration for busy women like you, who truly want to make a difference and make the time to get involved in organizations and programs like ours.

Thank you once more for everything that you do!

Fondly,

Sue Wilson
