It’s that time of year again when many families consider private secondary schools for their 8th grade children. The 18 eighth grade girls at Esperanza are also embarking on that journey. Stephanie Owen, Graduate Support Director of Esperanza Academy (and GWTK member), is hoping the women of GWTK can help with that process. GWTK members can help by giving the girls guidance on essay writing, performing mock interviews or driving the girls and their families to open houses and interviews. Can you spare a few hours? At this time, Stephanie can use the following volunteers:
5 volunteers on October 21st from 12:45 pm to 3:15 pm to provide the 8th graders with interview practice**
5 volunteers on November 4th, November 18th and December 2nd from 12:45 pm to 3:15 pm to help with application essays and possibly additional interview practice**
Drivers on October 31st to the following open houses
- Lawrence Academy, Groton, MA (approx. 7:45am-1:30pm)
- Proctor Academy, Andover, NH (approx. 7:00am-1:00pm)
- Governor’s Academy, Byfield, MA (approx. 9:45am-1:15pm)
- Tilton School, Tilton, NH (approx. 7:30am-2:00pm).
**There are 3 separate classes for the 8th graders so if you can’t make for the entire session, Stephanie could possibly use you for 1 or 2 of the sections!
