Release Date:
February 2, 2009 Cheryl Juba of B Sporty coordinated the second annual Esperanza Shadow Day t-shirt design contest. She visited the school in January and met with all the students to explain the rules of the contest. The girls were invited to draw a picture that represents their dreams and hopes for their future. The teachers would vote one winning design that would then be screen printed by B Sporty on t-shirts for all the students at Esperanza to wear on the February 2 Shadow Day event. This year's winner was Adriana Silvestre who is an 8th grader. Her design was printed on the front of the t-shirts and the Esperanza Logo with "Future Great Woman to Know" printed on the back. The contest is a great way to get all the girls involved and get their creative juices flowing. We look forward to displaying the original artwork in the school in the near future.
