Welcome returning members to our 2nd year of Great Women to Know, and thank you for your steadfast and enthusiastic support during our inception and critical first year! We are very proud of last year's accomplishments and are looking forward to working together to achieve this year's goals. We have an exciting calendar of events in the works and are looking forward to getting back together with old friends and greeting new members.

With your help, we grew to 63 members in our first year. Our goal is to reach 75-100 active members over the next two years. We continue to look for women with diverse careers, backgrounds, and skill sets to complement our existing membership.

Please join me in welcoming our newest members: Lisa Alecci Hartel, Kathleen Chan, Paula Doherty, Barbara Dupont, Marilyn Farley, Anne French, Elizabeth Hanley, Celia Moses, Kathleen Rafiee, Barbara Rowell, Arlene Santangelo, Lisa Simmons, Dawn Tardiff and Cathie Tucker.

We encourage all of our returning GWTK to reach out and meet our new members, and to facilitate introductions. The more involved we all are in this organization, the more we can help each other with our everyday lives, our careers and our support for the girls of Esperanza Academy.

This year, we have an official membership committee; it is co-chaired by Sheryl Poole (sherylpoole [at] comcast [dot] net). Sheryl and Regina are very talented and collaborated all summer to brainstorm new ideas and methods to better serve the GWTK community. Sheryl and Regina are available to assist you with all of your membership needs: e.g. membership questions, renewal and new membership forms. Also, they plan to contact all members over the course of the year to schedule an interview for your member profile. Our goal is to help you get to know one another better by posting your profiles and photos on our website.

Thanks to the collective efforts of the GWTK community, the past year was a great success: both on a professional, personal, and outreach level. New relationships have been fostered in all aspects of our lives, and the girls at Esperanza have benefited greatly from your commitment and support. GWTK far surpassed my expectations in its first year, and I look forward to another outstanding year of friendship, fun and service with you.
