Membership Benefits
Great Women to Know offers many opportunities throughout the year for members to meet, socialize and work together. Great Women to Know thrives on its members' active participation. With a full slate of events and volunteer opportunities to choose from, as well as leadership roles within our organization, we offer something to suit every level of interest and schedule.
- Regularly scheduled gatherings to meet new members and socialize with friends at convenient locations throughout the Merrimack Valley and North Shore. Most include dinner and a cash bar.
- Learning opportunities featuring expert speakers on topics relevant to members and the mission of Great Women to Know, followed by interactive question and answer sessions.
- Hands-on volunteer opportunities organized in conjunction with Esperanza Academy, designed to meet the school's greatest needs while tapping into the unique abilities of Great Women to Know's members.
- Opportunities to showcase your business and/or professional skills through promotional offers, committee positions and special events, and receive visibility in Great Women to Know member communications and publicity.
- Leadership opportunities within the Great Women to Know organization as committee chairs and skills-based volunteers.
- Inclusion in the Great Women to Know member directory, available to all members in good standing.
Dues Information
Great Women to Know is a 501(c) (6) corporation, a not-for-profit organization largely supported by member dues. Annual dues are used to fund the organization's events, administrative and materials costs, and to provide financial assistance to Esperanza Academy through its annual Auction and Breakfast of Hope events. Great Women to Know also receives generous donations of goods and in-kind services from its members, allowing us to significantly expand our offerings to members.
- Individual dues are $350 for members joining between September 1, 2008 and February 1, 2009.
- For business colleagues who join together dues are $500 for a joint membership.
- For individual members joining after February 1, 2009, dues will be reduced to $175; dues for business colleagues joining together after February 1, 2009 will be $250.
- Dues for all members will be renewable on August 1, 2009.
- Dues may be tax-deductible as a business expense. Please consult your tax advisor.
